The San José Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)/Child Exploitation Detail (CED) Task Force has arrested suspect Curtis Allen Rodgers for communicating with a minor for sex. The investigation entailed online communication, which led to phone communication, with suspect Rodgers between June 26 and June 28, 2024.
During these conversations, the suspect sent sexually explicit material via phone and arranged to meet with a 13 year old girl to engage in sexual activities. ICAC Detectives then obtained an arrest warrant for suspect Rodgers.
On July 2, 2024, with the assistance of San Leandro Police Department, suspect Rodgers was arrested by ICAC Detectives in the city of San Leandro. Suspect Rodgers was transported back to the city of San José where he was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for multiple crimes related to attempting to communicate with a minor for sex.
