On November 25, 2023, at approximately 7:43 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers conducted a vehicle traffic stop in the area of Alum Rock Avenue and South White Road. During a probable cause search of the suspect vehicle, Officers located various amounts of illegal narcotics and obtained a search warrant for the suspect's residence in the city of San José.

During the execution of the search warrant, Officers located and seized multiple firearms, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, opioids, and other pharmaceutical drugs for sale. Officers also located evidence suggesting the suspect was shipping narcotics via U.S. Postal Service. Officers identified Joshua Jordan as the primary suspect in possession of the seized items.

On November 27, 2023, Detectives from the San José Police Department Gun and Hazardous Offender Suppression Team (GHOST) began a thorough and comprehensive investigation. GHOST Detectives worked alongside the Santa Clara County Crime Strategies Unit, Santa Clara County REACT team, U.S. Postal Service Inspector, SJPD Gang Investigations Unit, and SJPD Financial Crimes Burglary Unit to conduct a four-month-long investigation. As a result of this extensive investigation, it was determined that suspect Jordan was selling illegal narcotics on the dark web and accepting cryptocurrency as the only form of payment. During the investigation, Detectives identified a secondary suspect, Jonathan Correll Jr., who was conspiring with suspect Jordan to traffic narcotics on the dark web.

On March 22, 2024, the SJPD Covert Response Unit apprehended and arrested suspect Jordan in the city of Santa Clara, and suspect Correll Jr. in the city of San José.

Detectives executed search warrants at two residences in the city of San José and at a commercial property in the city of Santa Clara. During execution of the search warrants, Detectives located and seized the following:

• Several hundred grams of illegal narcotics ranging from heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax, Cialis, morphine, Psilocybin, and MDMA (also known as ecstasy)
• One (1) semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine
• Two (2) semi-automatic pistols
• Ammunition
• Approximately $6,000 in cash

Suspects Jordan and Correll Jr. were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for crimes of illegal narcotics trafficking and possession of illegal firearms.
