On March 20, 2024 at approximately 7:25 AM, Patrol Officers responded to a local hospital for a report of a stabbing victim who was dropped off at the emergency room. The adult male victim was suffering from at least one stab wound. Despite emergency medical care, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
The San José Police Department Homicide Unit detectives immediately began a thorough and comprehensive investigation.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
This is the City's 10th homicide of 2024.
