On June 15, 2023, at approximately 10:38 PM, patrol Officers responded to the area of East Trimble Road and Montague Expressway to investigate a solo motorcycle accident. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:

A 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle, ridden by an adult male, was travelling eastbound on Montague Expressway from southbound Trimble Road when he lost control of the motorcycle while entering the driveway of a nearby parking lot. The driver was transported to a local hospital where he was stabilized. On June 24, 2023, the driver succumbed to his injuries.

This is the 22nd fatal collision, and the 23rd traffic death of 2023.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office after confirming the victim’s identity and notifying next of kin.
